Jennifer Holt is a Registered Psychotherapist through the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (#002931), is registered as a Certified Canadian Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) since 2011, and is also a Clinical Member in good standing with the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA).

Fees, Appointments & Hours

Psychological services are not covered under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) though most extended health insurance providers offer at least partial coverage for psychological services. Please check with your health insurance provider to determine the amount and duration of your coverage for psychological services.

If you are paying out of pocket for your treatment, I will provide an official receipt that you may submit for reimbursement to your insurance company or to report on your tax return as a medical expense.

Preferred payment for appointments is by e-transfer to jennifer@holtcounselling.com. Alternate forms of payment are by certified cheque or bank draft.  Cash, personal cheques and credit cards are not accepted.

First Nations & Inuit Health

Jennifer is an approved provider in the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch Mental Health Counselling Program.  If you are First Nations or Inuit, you may qualify to have therapy funded through this program.

Counselling Appointments
Jennifer Holt’s services are available by self-referral or through other professionals such as criminal defence lawyers, probation officers, Children’s Aid Society workers, and through friends and family of the client.

If you decide you would like to arrange a time to meet, please call 519-319-9491. This phone has confidential voice mail. Be sure to leave a phone number so that Jennifer can reach you directly.

Payment is due 1 hour before the scheduled appointment time.  Please provide a minimum of 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule the appointment for any reason.  If insufficient notice is given, you will incur the missed appointment/late cancellation fee of $125.00.  Missed appointment/late cancellation fee must be paid prior to scheduling next appointment.

Assessment Appointments
Assessment interviews last at least one business day, and sometimes do require more than one day to complete.

A minimum of 48 hours is required to cancel, or reschedule an Assessment Interview.  Failure to provide 48 hours notice, and/or a “no-show” will incur a charge of half of the assessment fee.  Outstanding fees must be paid prior to scheduling another assessment interview appointment.

Office Hours
Office hours are flexible depending on client need and demand. There is NO WAITING LIST and Jennifer is available week days from Monday to Friday. Evening appointments are available upon request. Assessment appointments are available on weekends upon request.
